ywillems -> extreme slow mail delivery with pop3 and rpc over http account combination (5.Sep.2006 11:02:51 PM)

Hi all,

I'm using sbs 2003 only to share calendars between our office and customers who use pop accounts to get their mail. So the customer PC has a pop account and an exchange account, via rpc over http, to get access to their shared callendar.
Now some customers experience extreme slow mail delivery when the exchange account is installed. I'm talking on delays of hours till even days. (some are never delivered). Once the customer removes our exchange account, immediatly pending mails start dropping in from their pop account.

What can cause this behaviour?

PS: Our sbs server is not configured to use the mail. Further I have assigned dummy addresses to the exchange accounts (that hold their calendar) of our customers.

Ant help would be great.

Thanks

Yves
