Hi I have exchange 2000 SP2 and it went down on me a week ago. I have built a new exchange on a different machine. so everyone is back up with emails.
My Boss though has asked me to see if I can get him mailbox back. Which I know I should be able to.

I have looked in the exchsrvr/mdbdata folder for the files (.edb and .stm) but there is no priv1.edb.

How can I restore my mailboxes using the priv1.stm file.

Any advise would be appreciated

When you rebuilt your new server, did you perform a backup of the database? If it was successful you should have both the .stm and .edb file. You can't restore your edb file using your stm file they are two different databases. The original edb file can only be obtained from your backup. Can you describe the steps you performed when you rebuilt your server on a new machine?
