I am having a hard time locating it.

Thanks

By default it ends up in:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.ost

Or you can search for *.ost.

Close Outlook, rename the file, then reopen Outlook.  The file will rebuild.

I did a complete hard drive search and checked in the docs and settings and none of the computers even mine has an outlook.ost or any .ost file on them.

I also went to the folder options and checked to show hidden files, and unchecked the hide system files, and there are still no .ost files anywhere?

Does this make sense?

Thank You

It makes sense only if you are in fact NOT running in cache mode.  If you look at the lower-right corner of the Outlook window, does it say Online (non-cache mode), or Connected (cache mode), or Not Connected (cache mode)?

There is nothing down in the lower right corner. This is outlook 2002 sp3, if that makes a difference.

Thanks

Yes, it does.  I'm actually not familiar with the inner workings of Outlook 2002, but I suspect the problem is more generic than that.  At some point I'd probably reinstall Outlook/Office for that user and/or set him up on a separate workstation to see if the problem goes away.

The next day after the fresh install it is still getting delays. The one thing that I have noticed is the delayed email will arrive with a new email simultaneously.

So its like it misses some but then one that comes right in on time brings the delayed one with it.

Hope someone can help.
