Hi,

I've changed the name of a user in Active Directory.
The global address list of my outlook keeps displaying the old name.

How can I update the list?

For how long have you been waiting for it to update.

Try to go in under Recipients\Recipient update service in System Manager.
Right click on both the enteprise and domain service and choose to Update now.

If you are using Outlook in cache mode, then you are looking at a local copy of the GAL.  There are two things that happen before you see it in Outlook.

First, the Offline Address Book is updated.  This happens by default once per day in the middle of the night.  You can force this to be updated in the ESM.  Expand Recipents and Offline Address Lists.  Right click on Default Offline Address List and select Rebuild.

Second, the Offline Address Book needs to be downloaded to Outlook.  By default, this happens when you launch Outlook.  You can force this to be updated in the Tools menu, select Send/Receive-->Download Address Book.
