We're in the process of migrating from Groupwise to Exchange 2003 Server. The plan is to use the Quest Migration tool for the project. Just wanted to see if anyone out there has used this tool and their input on it. In addition, if you have any suggestion of precaution tips about it, please share with me.

Thanks
-YG

We are using Quest's product for our migration.  You have alot of control over the migration with thier software.  We are migrating 7500+ accounts containing roughly 1TB of mail, not to mention the archives.  You can monitor and control the migrations very easily.

The Quest tool is formerly the Wingra product, who also did a Notes migrator tool.  Good products.  In fact, we use Quest tools for a lot of migration projects.

Removing the GroupWise client is part of the migration script we are using with thier "NDS Migrator".  It is just a simple uninstall of GroupWise which removes the GroupWise settings from the mail profiles.  Once the workstation is migrated we are using SMS to install Outlook 2003.
Zenworks or SMS can do the uninstall of GroupWise

We successfully migrate from Novell GroupWise to MS Exchange Server with the help of this utility: Groupwise to Exchange Migration software

The best feature of this software that we like is it offers batch file which enables to move mailboxes quickly with full accuracy.

For Groupwise migration I can suggest Stellar GroupWise to PST Converter. The software converts mailboxes of GroupWise versions: 12, 8.0, 7.0, 6.5, and 6.0. The messages can be saved as PST/EML/MSG files.

A Cost Saving and Resulted oriented application is Export Groupwise. It carried the migration process in 2 steps:

Step1:

Export groupwise mailboxes to ms outlook through this application. It does not require every user password and used Proxy.

http://www.systoolsgroup.com/export-groupwise.html

Step2:

Import created PST files into Exchange Server. For that we can use Exmerge (Totally free of cost) or An Exchange Import Tool that came as offer with this tool (Only Few usds are charged):
