Exchangedummy -> delivery to Gmail (1.Nov.2006 3:03:24 PM)

I inherited an Exchange 2000 server and am using it at home for a print server/email repository.  I use gmail for email.  I found a pop3 connector that will "get/download" my emails but cannot seem to find/setup my server for smtp delivery to gmail.  Exchangepop3 worked fine when I had my own domain.  Exchangepop3 does not support "starttls" command required by gmail.  I know this is overkill for home use but I would like it to work.  Does anyone know of or know how to get Exchange 2000 to deliver smtp directly to gmail?  Exchangepop3 says they'll support starttls in a couple of months.  I'M AN EXCHANGE DUMMY SO FEEL FREE TO FLAME IF NEEDED.

Tia,
exchangedummy.

Exchangedummy -> RE: delivery to Gmail (8.Nov.2006 9:21:42 PM)

Would a guru at lease tell me if this is possible?  I understand somewhat the setup of the connector and that gmail uses port 465 for smtp.  I was hoping that a standalone Exchange server would be able to send directly if the connector was setup properly.  I'm willing to offer some $ or ? if I could get some help.

Thanks to all.
