Smallguy -> outside users email are not reaching us (1.Nov.2006 3:21:21 PM)

hi I'm having another issue with email

we have a remote site we'll call xyzhotel there emails addresses are enduser@xyzhotels.com

the problem is they can send emails to one of the email doamins we are hosting but not the other. if they send an email to admin@abccorp.com it works but if they send an email to admin@xyzcorp.com it fails. The email for both domains are hosted on the same exchange box. the abccorp has a smtp connector and the xyz uses the default connector.

I have set up a email address for xyzhotels on my machine and  get the exacty same issue and no errors.

FYI my boss removed our reverse lookup zone the other day could this be the issue??

again some guidence would be great.

well still at it but now we finaly get an error message

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'admin@zyzco.com'. Subject 'test amherst', Account: 'pop.yourserver.ca', Server: 'smtp.yourserver.ca', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '450 <test@abc.com>: Sender address rejected: Domain not found', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 450, Error Number: 0x800CCC79.

I've tlaked to a few people and they all tihkn it is because we switch ISP's last week and our old one still hasn't removed DNS records.

does this sound right???
