Hello all,

FE/BE behind firewall.  FE configures RCP over HTTP, SSL, OWA, SMTP & POP3. All services are running on FE & BE (RCP over HTTP).  When I use external IP from my office to login pop3, it gave an error message like this Log onto incoming mail server (POP3) Failed.  At home, I try to login pop3 that gave an error Find outgoing mail server (SMTP) & Send test email message  are failed but all other tasks are ok. Am I missing some documents to configure on FE or BE server?  Any helps very very appreciated.

Thanks

I am able to login pop3 from outsite.  Login telnet port 25 and try to send an email to someone@yahoo.com from command and it gave an error message: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for recipientname@yahoo.com  but I am able to send email to my client.

This is relaying, you will get relaying denied if you do this, because your server is only authoratative to send to your domian and not yahoo.

First verify this.

Telnet - POP Commands (retrieving mail using telnet)

The problem is just from your client? So from your client it's not authenticating you? In outlook for the username try this convention

DOMAIN\username\alias
