Move the log files that correspond to this db ONLY, to another folder. Then mount the DB, if it was in a clean shutdown state, what should happen is that it will say see that no log files exist and it will recreate them and get you to mount. I believe it will only work if the store was in a clean shutdown state. You can verify this by either running eseutil \mh or by running exchange troubleshooting assistant which will tell you as well. As far as how to prevent, not sure because we don't know what the root cause was. Just ensure that you have backups and you are validating your backups and testing them for disaster recovery situations. Also make sure you're not scanning critical exchange folders as they can cause corruption and quaratine log files.
