rjraymond -> Sender ID Setup (7.Dec.2006 1:01:56 PM)

I'm running Exchange Server 2003 Standard. I want to be able to use the Sender ID function for my Domain. I have recently saw some spoofed email of my domain coming in. I'm new to Exchange. My ISP does not support SPF, non does my Domain Registar. Can I still use Sender ID with my domain? If so, how do I go about it. Now I get a message in my Application Log that says:

Sender Id must be configured with a list of trusted mail servers before it can be enabled.

So I take it I have Sender ID enabled on the SMTP Virtual Server but don't have any servers listed. Can someone provide me with  step by step instructions on what I should do to get this working.

Here is a good tutorial.

oh no, i don't believe its has anything to do with your ISP. I'm running an exchange stnd at home via Comcast (dynamic ip) and i configured send ID. You'll need to create an spf file and add to your domain record as a txt record.

Following this link to create your spf file

So I'm putting that TXT record in MY DNS server on my Domain Controller Correct? And then in the Sender ID list I put the Public & Internal IP address of my Exchange Server? Just trying to get a good understanding.
