You will have to delete all the existing mailboxes or delete Exchange Attributes using AD Users and Computers, Exchange Tasks. Then you need to delete the old server from the domain using either Exchange Manager or ADSIEdit.msc tool.

If you do not correctly uninstall an Exchange server it will leave configuration information in the AD domain (not on the sever itself), so just switching it off and removing it will leave Exchange in a slight mess, hence, having to remove it manually.

i've used the ADSIEdit, yes it erased off the orphaned server from AD, but when i diagnose it using dcdiag command, why is the orphaned server still being put on test too, i've read so many "look a like" problem with mine, many of them told to use ntdsutil to clean the metadata also, is it risky ?, cause i dont want to put the production server on risky condition..

thanks before
