i strongly agree with Bati that a full online backup needs to be taken as soon as possible. Do you have any file level antivirus on the server? if so have you confirmed that it is not scanning any of the exchange folders or IIS folders? How do your queues look? are there any messages stuck in the queue? Another possible scenario is a looping message stuck in the queues. Stop the SMTP service temporarily when you get a chance. go into c:\program files\exchsrvr\mailroot and rename vsi1 folder to something else. Starting the SMTP service will automatically recreated this folder structure and all messages in the queue will be in the renamed folder.

Im using Symantec Mail security for Microsoft Exchange it really SHOULDNT be the problem considering they are partners with MS and built for exchange.

Relay is off... as defaulted.

I have run several backups of the store now and it continues to grow. The circular logging option i used bought me a day but the store is back down now.  I have looked through everything i can find and nothing seems to fix the problem. No matter what i try it continues to get larger.

I dismounted the store earlier and im trying another repair. But i think at this time i really have to call Microsoft and open a ticket..   which means that mail will be down again today.. ungh..
