mywifeisdead -> Some incoming e-mails get delaied for hours. (12.Jan.2007 9:36:20 AM)

Hallo. I have this issue here. Some users here have this problem. Sometimes when e-mail is sent to them, they receive it few hours later. For example there was an e-mail sent yesterday at 11AM, and it was delivered at 9PM. And this morning an e-mail from the same sender was delivered immediately. It happens on different users. From different domains. There were no queued messages, and while an e-mail is delayed, other e-mails arrive without any problems, so I assumed the problem was not here, but the sender had no problems sending the e-mail to an yahoo.com account, so it seems they doesn't have problems too. When something like this happens it's like a whole day lost. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Look at the message header of a delayed message.  Note by the timestamps where the message is being held the longest and start your investigation between the sending and receiving systems.
