What does it say? Is it the date, the name or the Trustworthiness?

If it's the "cert not trusted" one you need to get the ROOT certificate and install it on the PC, the server cert is actually irrelevant, the root matters.

Is it your own CA or a 3rd party certificate that you got on the cheap?

I would have to say it is our own as we didn't purchase any 3rd party license

Well someone there should know if you installed a Windows Certificate Server or if someone just created a certificate using the Resource Kit.
Find the Certificate Server and look on the root of the C:\ drive. The root cert is usually there. If not, run up Windows CA and export it from the console.
