    Anyone seen their Exchange 2k7 server constantly trying to do an SMTP connection to
ptr-216-8-177-28.ptr.nextdimensioninc.com?

Anyone know what this is? My first thought is it's related to antispam or something. I don't even have this in production yet, so it couldn't really be legit mail traffic.

Did you check http://nextdimensioninc.com? They seem to provide different kind of services including hosting.

You must have some kind of 3rd party tool or similar, which tries to contact that URL. Or perhaps you configured your Send Connector to use them as smart host?

Yes, I saw the site. No tools altough I am running Forefront. I'm not using any smart hosts either.
