Will_G -> can receive mail, can send internal, can't send outside (15.Feb.2007 9:03:41 AM)

Hey all, I have a newly installed Exchange 2K7 installed on x64 Win 2003 Server.  Receive connector is configure as is Send connector.  The problem is that I can only send email internally.  I can receive from anyone, but mail destined for outside my domain remains in queue. Here is a message that is returned to my inbox when trying to send outside domain:

Delivery is delayed to these recipients or distribution lists:

Delivery of this message will be attempted until 2/16/2007 6:36:19 PM (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada). Microsoft Exchange will notify you if the message can't be delivered by that time.

I have a static IP, correctly configured DNS, an MX record, etc.  Can anyone suggest something?  Thanks so much.

Can you telnet to port 25 on external SMTP servers from your E2K7 server?

I'm experiencing the same problem and I cannot do a telnet on port 25 to my exchange server from any computer that is member of the domain. I can do a telnet to port 26, after changing the portnumber in the hub transport configuration. Also, I can do a telnet to port 25, both to my exchange server and external mail servers, from a computer that is not member of the domain. Is there some kind of GPO blocking connections to port 25?
