alternative_boy -> E2K on W2K to E2K7? (15.Feb.2007 10:01:06 PM)
|
I just read Henrik's excellent article on migrating from E2K/E2K3 to E2K7 and it raised more questions for me than I expected. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? 1. You *cannot* install E2K7 unless your domain is running E2K3 Active Directory (my Exchange 2000 Server is running Windows 2000 Server)? If that is the case, I am planning on doing an inplace upgrade of the Windows 2000 Server to Windows 2003 (or can I just upgrade the Schema?) but I have read that this can "Mangle" my E2K (though I do have access to E2K3) If I can upgrade just the Schema, can I just use the 32-bit version of E2K7 to upgrade the Schema, without have to upgrade my W2K to W2K3? Any help is *greatly* apprectiated, as killing AD is low on my list of ways to waste a weekend!! Thanks
