xarfox -> more than one organization?? (27.Feb.2007 12:32:39 PM)

Hello,
I would like to install exchange 2k7 32 bit in our test environment. We already have 2 exchange 2003 servers (one in DMZ and one internal). The e-mail functionality i need is very basic, just the ability to e-mail on the internal network, nothing to the internet.

How would I install this as to not interfere with the existing exchange 2k3 servers. They will all be using the same active directory domain.

Can I just configure a new organization and install the hub and mailbox role?

I've worked with exchange before, but never deployed (I am a developer). Most of the documentation seems to be geared towards production environments, and I will be breaking most best practices for this simple test run.

Thanks!

hmmm... after reading some more sounds like this may not be possible since exchange 2000 and greater - the active directory component will only support one

any thoughts on this?

i'm going to look into coexistence

a true test environment = a different AD Forest.
