bunj25 -> Want to recreate DEFAULT public folder store (6.Mar.2007 9:24:35 AM)
|
hi I am tryin to delete the old default public folder store and recreate a new default store. The reason for this is the public folder store is in a mess and I think its best to scrap it and start from scratch with some structure. I cant delete the contents as a lot of it is saying access denied as various people have played with permissions and screwed them up aswell!! It needs to be default because microsoft say.... "In Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) clients (such as Microsoft Outlook 98 and Microsoft Outlook 2000) are only allowed to use the default All Public Folders public folder tree to browse the public folder hierarchy. " I'm using Exchange 2k but Outlook 2002 and upwards... Does this still apply? I have created a new Tree and a New store, but when I go to delete the old store, bcause it is the default, I must move the default setting to another store. However the new store is not I have created is not in the list to choose from. Does it take sometime before it will recognise the new store?? It is mounted. So what can I do??? Please help!!
