Hi All,

I just installed a 2007 server into my domain and moved my mailbox from my Ex2000 server to the new server.  It was not talking to anything else (routing group problem I suspect) so I moved my mailbox back the 2000 server.  I didn't realize that my mailbox was open at the time.  Outlook errored, so I closed it and reopened.  It would not open my mailbox on the 2000 server.  I removed the Exchange Information Service from my profile and recreated it, but I get the following:

The following unrecoverable error has occurred:

Internal MAPI error:  The properties of Microsoft Exchange Server could not be saved into the profile.  Contact your administrator.

Any idea how I can get myself out of this hole that I've dug?

Thanks for any an all suggestions.
Ken

Just an update.  I tried moving the mailbox back to the 2007 server, then back again to the 2003 server.  I also tried removing and reinstalling MS Office.  None of these have helped.

This happened to me with an Outlook 2000 client.  Upgrading the client to 2003 solved the problem.

You've moved the mailbox between three diff versions of Exchange and didn't think that would cause a problem?

Sorrry Totalled,

That was a typo.  I'm only dealing with two versions of Exchange.  It should have read 2000, not 2003.

In any case, there were no issues moving the mailbox back and forth between the two versions.

Ahh, I thought maybe that's what it was, just checking. Still though, there are huge differences in AD schema properties between the two versions which might explain the error message. What is the DC running? This is one of the reasons I didn't bother trying to migrate our old Win 2000 based enviroment.

It's a 2003 domain.  Everything seems to be running just fine otherwise, with the exception of my BES server.
