Hi ,

As the subject suggests I'm looking for a way to make a public folder accessible to Blackberry's, could anyone give suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Thanks
S

I don't have a blackberry so i couldn't try it but since blackberry's have access to the internal network you should be able to access public folders with the web address in the blackberry browser.

for instance...
/public">http://<exchange>/public

of course it will be using the blackberry service account to do this so it will depend on your security and well the browser capabilities as well.

If some one could try this it would be nice to know

Every so often a client asks us how they can access their Company Contacts public folder or whatever on their mobile devices, and every time I have to explain its not a supported feature. I've been recommending Add2Exchange for a few years now and still think its the best solution, have a look here:

Hi,

WICKSoft provides access to anything in Exchange from a BlackBerry... including Public Folders, Delegate Calendars, shared contacts, etc.

Full details here

There's also a great demonstration of the client on Youtube:
