Users not showing up in Global Address List (Full Version)

We have got our first couple of users added to Exchange 2007. One was moved from Exchange 2003 and this person still shows up in the Global Address List. One was crfeated brand new and does not show up in the Global Address List but DOES show up in All Address Lists/All Users. Below is the filters from Sys Manager:

Default Global Address List:
(&(mailNickname=*)(|(objectClass=user)(objectClass=contact)(objectClass=msExchSystemMailbox)(objectClass=msExchDynamicDistributionList)(objectClass=group)(objectClass=publicFolder)))

All Users:
(&(mailNickname=*)(|(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(!(homeMDB=*))(!(msExchHomeServerName=*)))(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(|(homeMDB=*)(msExchHomeServerName=*)))))

Any ideas?

I am having the same issue.  I'll post as soon as I find a solution. One interesting tidbit; my missing user does show up under "All Address Lists / All Users".

Cameron, I should have posted a follow up. The user showed up the next day so it had something to do with processing somewhere but I haven't looked into where or why due to many other issues which thankfully were resolved today.

Did you find a resolution to the user not showing in GAL but showing in All Addresss Lists\All Users.

Hey Cameron and Davcon,

Did you guys ever solve that issue?
I am having a similar problem where some users don't show up in GAL on certain machines, but they are visible on others.
Anybody got any suggestions?

Followed the instructions and my missing users appeared.

I did exactly what the MS article said and I still was unable to see the users when in cached mode. Then I remembered to "update" the OAB. Once I did that everything showed up!

Thanks for finding this MS article, it saved my life here.
