I have read wnough to know I need a certificate to use Windows Mobile devices and have never done anything with certificates before.  I also have never setup any Windows Mobile devices.  If it is any consolation, I have installed, setup and currently maintain a Blackberry Enterprise Server.  I would like to add Windows Mobile support and offer that to my users.

Do any Articles exist explaining how to setup Exchange 2007 to communicate with Windows Mobile devices?

By default Exchange 2007 enables ActiveSync for mailbox users...

Although EAS is enabled on a per-user level by default, there's a few things to do. You must make sure to install a trusted 3rd party SSL certificate on the server (or import the one that E2K7 generates automatically during the installation on each mobile device). In addition you must publish EAS on your firewall as well as configure appropriate time-out values for HTTPS connections. To see how this is accomplished on a ISA Server, check below URL:

Finally it's also recommended you creat an EAS policy and apply it to the users.

I was following the instructions from your article:

However when I got to the following screen snapshot, I noticed I don't have the option for "Manage Mobile Device". Is there a trick to get this showing up:

This option will only be available when a partnership with at least one mobile device have been established (happens after the first successfull sync).

Is there a document explaining how to import this certificate on your Windows Mobile 5 device?

simply copy the root cer file onto the WM5 device either via a memory card or via the activesync desktop aprtnership.

Than simply click on the fie name and you will be promted to trust the cert
