If i goto the security setting of Exchweb folder and tick Intergrated Windows Authentication it starts to work. If i untick it back to the "Loading" issue with missing icons.....
I'm getting confused... I know the having the Intergrated Windows Authentication for Exchweb is not right, what do you guys think is causing the problem?

Are you trying this article "Configured Identity Is Incorrect for IWAM Account
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=297989 " or not?
The passwords of  IUSR and WUSR are consist? And in Default Web Site - Directory Security , the password for SERVER_NAME\IUSR_SERVER_NAME also consist with IUSR and WUSR  users?
And also what's the firewall do you have?

The password for user Anonymous in IIS-Default Web Site-Properties-Directory Security - Authentication and access control - Edit - and there PASSWORD for ANONYMOUS ACCESS = password for IUSR and WUSR user in metabase. They must be IDENTICAL.

ExBPA:

What will it say ?

After reseting the passwords for the 2nd time, it worked for about 10 hours but then went back to "error on page" followed by "loading".

ExBPA: Has not critical issues.

I ask you again, are you check the permission on folder C:\Programm Files\Exchsrvr\?

b.
Right-click the Exchweb folder, and then click Properties.

c.
Click the Security tab.

Note If the Security tab is missing, you are not using an NTFS file system formatted drive. In this scenario, the OWA issue is not caused by incorrect permissions.

d.
Verify that the Authenticated Users group has the following permissions:

Read and execute

List folder contents

Read

e.
If the Authenticated Users group is not listed, click Add to add the Authenticated Users group to the list of users with permissions.

f.
After you have verified that the Authenticated Users group has the correct permissions, click OK.

On "Exchweb" must be only "Anonymous Access".
Can you show the IIS log file?

Getting Event ID 1040
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MSExchangeMU
Event Category: General
Event ID: 1040
Date: XX/XX/xxxx
Time: XXX
User: N/A
Computer:XXXX
Description:
Metabase Update failed replication 5 times with error 80070003 (The system cannot
find the path specified.). Please change the diagnostic logging level of
MSExchangeMU to 'minimum' or greater to find the source of the problem.

Solution:
This problem  can be resolved by following below steps:
> take the backup of metabase then stop exchange system attendant serivce. By using metaedit delete the DS2MB key and delete the SMTPSVC/1/domain key and finally restart the msexchangeSA. After restarting it will recreate the keys that were deleted.
Keys can be found here
They can be found here
LM\DS2MB - Delete the DS2MB key
LM\SMTPSVC\1\domain
LM\SMTPSVC\#\domain

Ismail Mohammed

Ok...
I have rebuilt exchange from scratch and restored the stores from backup.
I have no errors poping up any where.
OWA working for a few hours and they stops working(Missing icons).
If i reboot the server it will start to work again only for a few hours or mins.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem or do we have to reload find another product that works to get rid of the OWA problem?
I wonder when if Microsoft fixed this problem in 2007?

Hiya Sunny,

It sounds almost like a problem with the DS2MB service, although that should manifest every 15 minutes - as you say in your case it could be a couple of hours.

Can you do me a favour, the next time is happens, rather than restart the entire machine, can you just restart the MSExchangeSA?

Thanks,

A

Hi Sunny,

Try to restart msexchange SA as our friend suggestion.. and one more thing i would like to know is whenever you face this sort of issue are you able to see any events occured in the exchange server or on the client end.
Moreover i would like to stress on the point "Is your exchage server updated one or not" means which is version we have for exchange server and SP and outlook version... Please let me know and what about antivirus... is it updated with latest patch.
At the time of restarting msexchangeSA please check the applicaiton log also....

I believe it should through some sort of event while communicating with OWA

Ismail

Restarting SA makes no difference.
Exchange has service pack 2 with lastest updates.
I have removed the anti virus(Trend Officescan) for testing purposes.
I am still having the same problem.
