First, do you have the Exchange option licensed and installed? Second, you want to set up the job to backup the Information Store (if you've read through other posts here and other forums, you'll know that mailbox-level backups are not recommended). Third, when you look at the properties of the backup job, you'll see in the Exchange-specific settings that Full and Incremental backups mention they flush the committed logs. This is what clears them off your server.

Hello, You need to take a FULL backup of your exchange server(Information Store), that should purge all your transaction log files. If you haven't took a full back up of your exchange server then the log files will not be purged and it will keep on increasing.

I think it's clear that you need to do a backup of your exchange database to clear the logs. They are all exactly 5mb as that is the point when exchange moves onto a new log file. NTBackup can be used to perform the backup, which comes free with Windows Server. If you need instructions on how to backup exchange, this may help: http://maxms.net/articles/Backup-Exchange-2003-With-NTBackup Good luck, Rob
