DNS host is the ISP from where I am connected to internet right?

For the sake of closure, the original issue turned out to require corrected DNS settings.

The MX record was pointing to something the DNS host had set up instead of pointing to the A record defined by the user.  The A record was set up correctly.

Inbound mail is now flowing.
