berryman -> SBS 2003 Exchange setup advice for 1st timer. (24.Apr.2007 10:33:42 AM)

Hi, I'm running SBS 2003 and need to run Exchange. I have never ran Exchange before. Our SBS server sits behind a Linksys firewall and I have found that I need to open port 25 for SMTP mail. Most people I see posting info say not to use the pop3 connector, but go straight to SMTP. Anyway, currently our e-mail is hosted by our ISP. I found a document by Mark Fugatt on hosting your own SMTP mail using Exchange 2000. Has this been updated for Exchange 2003? All of that aside, I'm looking for help in getting this set up properly. I work for a small non-profit with 35 users. I set my SBS server up with a separate partition of 100Gb to use for Exchange. Will this work? I hope so, I don't think I can change it at this point. Like I said, I'm looking for advice on what steps I need to take to get this to work successfully. After I get e-mail flowing properly, I then need to set up shared calendars and some kind of remote access, either OWA or something else. What do I have to do for the clients, all are Outlook 2003? Any advice? Thanks, Mike
