@digeratiTyson: This post is a little old now, but I was wondering if you managed to solve your issue. I just went through this recently and solved it. Have you?

I know this is an old topic, but it answered a problem we've been having and I wanted to add what we did to get it working. I followed the steps t0ta11ed wrote (from the guide?) but since we use an internal CA we also had to install the CA root into the trusted CA store on the remote machine running Outlook 2003. Thanks again. -Andrew

quote:
ORIGINAL: digeratiTyson Gotcha, I just ran the utility at testexchangeconnectivity.com and passed every step except the last one: Testing NSPI Interface on Exchange Mailbox Server An error occured while testing the NSPI Interface. Test Steps Attempting to ping RPC Endpoint 6004 (NSPI Proxy Interface) on server digweb01.example.com Failed to ping Endpoint Additional Details RPC Status ServerUnavailable (1722) returned in 0 ms. So all that it appears to be the problem is that it cannot hit the internal server name...I have ensured that the internal name resolves to an IP on the internet but that does not seem to help. What else can I try? I used to come with the problem, and i have solved it with a popular Outlook recovery tool called Advanced Outlook Repair . It is a powerful tool to recover messages, folders and other objects from corrupt or damaged Microsoft Outlook PST files. Detailed information about Advanced Outlook Repair can be found at http://www.datanumen.com/aor/.

OK, I have my very weird problem. 1-We are using EX2k7 and Outlook2k7. 2-Outlook Anywhere has been working fine for a year. 3-One user called today, the Outlook Anywhere doesn't work, no connection. 4- This user can access OWA (https) without a problem. This user can run Outlook on top of PPTP VPN without a problem. 5-I can run Outlook Anywhere (no same complain from other users either) without a problem. 6-Nothing changed on that particular user except Microsoft Search installed and Microsoft Updates recently installed. Anybody has same problem??? Any ideas or suggestions??? How do I troubleshoot this type of Outlook Anywhere problem??? Thanks in advance!!!

My first suggestion is to start a new thread instead of placing your posting in very old thread :)! Secondly has the user tried using a different machine or even creating a different Outlook profile? If this issue is happening only to this one user, then the issue is not exchange!

Just registered to say a big THANK YOU to authors of post #2 and #3. 2 for coming up with the solution and 3 for providing more detailed information on how to use it. I've been struggling to get OA to work for several days now and 90% of my focus has been server side. Sorry for bumping an old thread but wanted to say thanks.
