Hiya, my suggestion is based around minimal cost and getting you out of a bind.
x 4 300 GB will give you a fair storage boost, however, if I were in the situation and could get the funding - I would be looking to purchase a MSA 1000 and attach that to the box - this gives you storage options up to 2TB in a 4U shelf.

Using my original method you could be back in the land of the living in about an hour to and hour and a half.

If you go down the MSA route, depending on the configuration of the storage enclosure that could be a few hours.
