I hope somebody can help?
Need to figure out how to connect Exchange 5.5 site & server to AD Exchange 2000 site and server.
I have inherited an old Exchange 5.5 two sites, one organization configuration. CityA has PDC and CityB has BDC as part of one NT domain.
The sites are physically connected via VPN over DSL.
I have installed Windows 2000 AD at CityA.
I installed Exchange 2000 into the Exchange 5.5 organization at CityA Exchange 5.5 site.
I setup trsusts between AD and NT and then installed ADC with two way connector between Exchange 5.5 server and Exchange2000 server at CityA site.
I used ADMT to move NT accounts across to AD.
Now have migrated test users mailbox to the new Exchange 2000 server and they can send/receive email with 5.5 users at CityA site, but they cannot see or email users at CityB site.
Users based at CityB site have AD acount but not exchange 2000 setup.
How do I connect CityB Exchange 5.5 users to cityA site Exchange 2000 users.
They cannot see each other or send each other email.
Do you setup Routing Group Connector and what type?
Do you need to have SRS running at CityB site?
Do you setup Recipient policy?
This is driving me slowly nuts over last week.
