Hi Guys,
I am trying to install antispam features on a 32-bit Exchange 2007 Server and need some help.
I have tried to run the .\Install-AntispamAgents.sp1 script in the powershell console, but only get an error message "Failed to find the transport server : ***" (*** is my server name)
This is an installation on one server, so no edge server, but HUB transport is installed.

Can anyone help me further, or is this feature disable on evalution version?

Best Regards
Ase

Here comes more and exact information on my problem.

PS C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Scripts> install-AntispamAgents.ps1
The term 'get-transportserver' is not recognized as a cmdlet, function, operabl
e program, or script file. Verify the term and try again.
At C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Scripts\install-AntispamAgents.ps
1:30 char:39
+ $transportserver = get-transportserver  <<<< -id $localservername
Failed to find the transport server : ********
PS C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Scripts>

Has anyone encountered the same problem (please reply even if You did not solve it)?

I have read more in the book "Configuring  Exchange Server 2007" by Henrik Walther. What I thought was strange is that the book says the end of the script files should me ".MSH", but my script files has the ending ".PS1".

Because my installation is a evaluation 32-bit version, can anyone confirm what the script files are called in the released 64-bit version.

Hi Ase,

Can you telnet to TCP port 25 on your 32bit Exchange Server? I always get an error indicating that there are no available resources.

Hi Tom,

There was no problems to telnet. I get the correct 220 reply and it answers correctly to "ehlo" aswell.

I have to take the opportunity to thank You for some great ISA Server books, keep on the good work.

Best Regards

Hi All,
Very disappointed of the lack of help from this forum...Where are all the experts and qualified Authors?
I hoped of course to get an an aswer to my original question, but could not even get a simple question solved (Is the 64-bit script file endings ".PS1" or ".MSH" )

Shape up, or the forum will be extinct.

Regards,
Ase

Ace,

I'm getting exactly the same error:

The term 'get-transportserver' is not recognized as a cmdlet, function, operable program, or script file. Verify the term and try again.
At C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Scripts\install-AntispamAgents.ps
1:30 char:39
+ $transportserver = get-transportserver  <<<< -id $localservername
Failed to find the transport server : Exchange2007

I have setup the hub transport server, and the service is running, I can send & receive internal & external messages, so not sure why it can't find the transport server.

Did you ever figure this out?

Cheers

Ben

Hi Ben,

Try using Exchange PowerShell instead of Windows PowerShell and it will work.
