First we install the Hub and the Cas in the First server name :
hq-um-cas-01.umniah.com
Then we install second hub and the cas on the other server
:hq-um-cas-02.umniah.com
We configure the NLB for both node on the port 443 and 80
Then we request a certificate from internal CA with name outlook.umniah.com
and assign the certificate to the IIS Exchange web sites.( we request the
certificate normally using the web based request).
Then we install the Edge transport server in the DMZ behind pix firewall,
(Two edges,Hq-um-eg-01.umniah.com,hq-um-eg-02.umniah.com) we configure  the
name resolution between the Hub and the edges, the edge name suffix, open
SMTP 25 between the hub and the edge. and the two LDAP ports.
We configure the edge subscription between the hub servers and the two edges
Test the mail flow from the edge to the hub servers using SMTP command, we
found that the mail is queued in the SMTP inbound send connector, after
investigate the problem and manually delete all the certificate assigned by
the internal CA including the Root certificate , delete the Edge
subscription, and regenerate the certificate in both the edge and the hub
server ( I mean the self signed certificate) , and reconfigure the Edge
subscription with Hq-um-eg-02 and test the mail flow, and everything seems ok.
Then we NAT the Public ip address for the MX record to the Hq-um-eg-02 IP
address, and test the mail flow in and out, next day we found that many
emails queued for a long time in the Hq-um-eg-02 queue. Some times for 15 min
and some time for 2 to 3 hours trying to forward the massage to hub servers.
any one can help...
