Hey guys,
I am getting an error when i try to install Exchange 2k7, it says that it is for a machine type other than the current machine. How can i get around this? The server is running Windows Server 2k3 SP2, 4gig of ram, dual xeon 3ghz processors. Its a Dell. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like you're trying to install to Server 2003 32 bit? Exchange 2007 needs the x64 version

Theres not a 32bit version of Exchange 2k7?

Only an evaluation version as far as I'm aware, full version is 64 bit only.

Correct, there's a 32-bit eval version available from Microsoft downloads that isn't supported in production.  The 64-bit version is required for this.

Ok, I got Server 2003 x64 installed and im starting the installation of Exchange 07, its coming up to the Readiness Checks and all 4 items failed, "Organization Prerequisites, Hub Transport Rold Prerequisites, Client Access Role Prerequisites, and Mailbox Role Prerequisites". What do i do from here?

First I would make sure write access to the schema is enabled. For more info see:

I followed the instructions but when i right click on Operations Master, the only thing i can hit is Change, and it gives me a message saying " The current Domain Controller is the Operations Master. To transfer the Operation Master to a different Domain Controller, you need to target Active Directory Schema to that Domain Controller"
