dsantilli -> SMTP service (31.May2007 12:37:43 PM)

Hi,
I have an exchange 2000 server running email internally and am having issues with the SMTP service refusing connections. There are no errors in the event log and when you try to telnet to it, i.e. > telnet localhost 25 you get a connection refused. The SMTP connector is configured and not been changed. I am also running Xwall 3.40 but nothing has changed on the configuration of this software. Any help would be appreciated as I am new to exchange.

Thx,

Hi,
Are you running Xwall on the same machine as exchange ? if so then Xwall uses port 25. what u need to do is in ur exchange SMTP you have to change the port #.
ex. Xwall port 25
    SMTP port (change to something else then 25) ex 24
Stop and start SMTP services.
Stop xwall and start again.

Hi,
Yes I am running Xwall on the same machine and I have figured it out the problem. Actually some issues with the OS and not Xwall after all, thx for the help.
