Exch. server 2003 SBS resends old mail on reboot..

I have a strange problem..
On server reboot some old mail is resent (Some several months old)- It was sent successfully the first time.
I don't see any pattern in which mail is being resent, it looks random.
The server is fully updated.
What can cause this behavior ?
