Well Stupid me I just realized SMTP DIAG only attempts to connect using EHLO! it does not even attempt to use HELO. and there is no way to force it so I will most likely be rolling my own SMTP Diagnostic utility up so if I do I will give you a link to use it if you like. because I dont see why that is not an Argument when launching it.

Cool, I thought that I was going mad!, as I was sure that the SMTP connector that you configured should work.

Let us know what you find out, I still suspect the end servers (not yours) - but perhaps we can move forward now.

Servers use EHLO but if the recipient does not accept EHLO, it fails back to using HELO, this is RFC standard. There is nothing you need to do on your end. Some proxies block EHLO and the enhanced SMTP verbs. This could be something on their end.
