I am a bit of a newbie here so firstly, Hello! While out of the office for a couple of weeks some of our users had been complaining that they weren't receiving email. It wasn't all users and users effected fortunately weren't that important. When I got back to the office started to look at the problems. Firstly thought it may be something to do with DNS resolutions, however, that checked out ok. I then looked at the SMTP queues and noticed that some messages were stuck in the local deliver queue, all with status "Retry". This was effecting both external and internal email. Later I was informed by a user that although they couldn't send to another member of staff, they could if they sent to a third member of staff and get them to forward it on. Which seems very odd?! I have checked the event logs etc for clues and while there are the occasional errors there is nothing to suggest why we would be getting these issues. I have even uninstalled all antivirus from the server just encase that had started to cause issues, with no change. Any ideas, I would be very greatful! Thanks in advance.
