Strausy -> Disable IMAP Protocol for new mailbox users (23.Jul.2007 10:44:39 AM)

Becuase of one executive we are forced to turn on IMAP for his iPhone, but I don't want any other user to have IMAP access on our Exchange 2003 servers.

I have gone through and disabled IMAP for all existing users, but when a new user is created, I'd like the IMAP protocol to be disalbed by default. I can't get the company to go with user templates (stubborn) and I can't guarantee the AD admins are doing the right thing and disabling it after the user is created (lazy).

I don't want to go in and verify each new user after they are setup because we have about 50+ new users each month and they are added by more than one person so checking new users each month in a 20,000+ user AD is not really time efficient.

Is there some way to modify AD/Exchange so it is turned off event though the IMAP Virtual Server and services are enabled for this one person?
