    Hi , i need some help here. can't figure out why my stores wouldn't mount automatically after a restore on my backup mail servers, even after checking the option to mount stores after restore. I currently use HP data protector for mail backup on my live mail servers and restore onto my redundant mail server.

Hello chap a couple of things,

1. On the properties of the databases in the Exchange system manager tick the box which says "This store can be overwritten by a restore"

If that should not work, please post the detail in the application log - there will be events describing as to why the store does not mount.
