We are preparing to upgrade/transition to Exch2007 from Exch2003 in the next 2mths.

The full upgrade MUST happen in ONLY one day and we do not want co-existence.

Currently we have just one Exch2k3 box in a single forest with no SMTP routing or Routing Group Connectors configured.

We'll be deploying Exch2k7 in one box with the 4 roles excl Edge.

Do we need to configure SMTP or Routing Groups on Exch2k3 server before we run the Exch2k7 installation wizard. If so which one?

Thanks for your help!!
