Zuit -> RE: Catch All Account? (17.Sep.2007 5:32:20 AM)
|
To clarify, a "Catch-all" account is used as an account to receive mail for any account not otherwise specified. You can send mail to any name @domain.tld and it would be redirected to the catch-all account, providing it's not a valid user account. Unfortunately, mail must first be accepted before it can be written to a "Journal " and Exchange 2007 would reject it before it could qualify for Journaling. Additionally, NDR's would need to be disabled or every user sending mail to a non-existent user would receive an NDR. Journaling and transport rules just don't work. Do we have any other ideas? We can see Microsoft's solution to catchall for Exchange 2003 here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324021 Thank You in advance, -Brian Brian J.
