eugenev -> Migration from Postfix to Exchange 2007 (30.Sep.2007 3:52:04 AM)

Hi all,

Currently our office decided to move from Linux Mail (PostFix) mail server to Exchange 2007.

We currently have 150 users in our main office, and 10 remote sites which users connect and fetching their mail through maildaemon from the PostFix mail server in our main office.

Our user’s mails are currently setup like this:

Main Site - – @ab.domain.com – 140 users – 1MB 1:2

Site1 – @cd.company.com – 100 users – 512KB 1:2
Site 2 – @cd.company.com – 55 users – 1MB 1:4
Site 3 – @cd.company.com – 30 users – 1MB 1:4
Site 4 – @cd.company.com – 15 users – 512KB 1:2

Site 5 – @ef.company.com – 40 users – 256KB 1:2
Site 6 – @ef.company.com – 15 users – 512KB 1:2
Site 7 – @cd.company.com – 20 users – 128KB 1:2

Site 8 – @gh.domain.com – 20 users – 128KB 1:2

Site 9 – @ij.domain.com – 30 users – 256KB 1:2

Site 10 – @kl.domain.com – 15 users – 256KB 1:2

There’s no Active Directory that currently installed in our environment and where planning to have one for the Exchange 2007 and Sharepoint 2007.

What best practice solutions that you can recommend for this kind of setup for implementing Active Directory and Exchange 2007 and also the cost effective solutions for this scenario.
