tcstrub2 -> Exchange server running, but not sending or receiving (15.Oct.2007 8:56:55 PM)

I have been an exchange admin for several companies for a few years now, but today I was stumped.   I have a Win 2k standard server running Exchange 2k standard.  The log files had filled the MDBDATA folder, and the drive was out of space, so I deleted the log files and got the MTA stacks up and running, mounted the store, and started the SMTP virtual server.  I thought everything was working...

The exchange server will not send or recieve email, and so not knowing what else to try I did a reinstall...but I got an error in the Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services, the following is the log, thanks in advance

hi,

When database was working fine and only the mailflow is not happening you could have check telnet verbs i.e smtp verbs, if it is not having all the verbs then you can face this sort issue before you could reattempt for reinstallation.

This log leading me to many reason and even i am not able to predict what will be the exact cause.

my question is what is the current status : database is still mounted or everything messed up?

Please take the backup  of the database before you could proceed further.

If the reinstallation messed up, try to reinstall the sp and then try  to check the smtp verbs...
