Hi we have exch 2003 running windows 2000 sp4. I followed the instructions in Henrik Walthers article 'Transitioning from exchange 2000/2003 to exchange server 2007'. Did all teh pre-reqs and everything went well untill the installation stopped in the middle with the following error.

I resumed the installation and this time it came back saying exchange was already installed and prompted me to select roles to install so i selected the 4 mentioned in the article and the installation completed successfully. Now i can't the 'connector' i created and am seeing errors in teh application log about the missing connector on the new machine. Can you help?

sounds almost like a dot net issue or maybe some sort of permissions, check you av scaning software and try to disable it and then recreate the issue.

I was able to finish the install after i resumed the setup. I am thinking i either need to uninstall and start over - which i would appreciate any tips on proper uninstalling process or manually create the connector which i am thinking is not possible from all the white papers i am reading. All of them say the first connector needs to be created during the installation.

Well it was not that diffcult after all. I manually created the connected on the Exch 2003 side and it seems to be working so far.
