Apologies if this is the wrong forum!
I have a pop3 account setup within my outlook XP client rather than using a separate mail client for personal email and another one for my exchange account, mail sent out from my pop3 has its own smtp server.
However on sending a mail a message ID is tagged to the message headers which appears to be from the exchange server even though it is not being routed through the exchange box, how is this possible?
The email is definately being routed through the smtp server since i can see the connections on the mailserver it is being sent to.
