I am able to connect from outlook 2007 via POP3 but not able to direct connect to exchange. outlook XP works fine. It keeps kicking back asking for a password. During the auto config it shows that it connects but then bombs on the last task and asks me for login/password. I enter the correct login/password and it kicks back to me again. I can login through POP3 through outlook 2007 with the same account so I am thinking it is something with authority. I just cant seem to find where to make an edit

are you doing this via MAPI on the LAN or RPC/HTTPS across the internet?

Is the machine with outlook 2007 on it a memeber of the same domain that the exchange server is?

Hi,
I am also having similar issue with outlook 2007 clients, it keeps poping up request for authentication when connected to the exchnage 2007 server.

I believe this is an authentication related problem on the virtual server.

Which one really I am not sure of!

Does OWA work properly?

And you still dont say whether this is on the LAN (same as the Exchange Server), outside the LAN, via RPC/HTTPS.
