Hey Andy, i hope you had a good weekend i'm sorry for the rushing it on Friday. I'm noit sure where we left off and i had to bring down all my servers this weekend for a UPS Upgrade so that was fun. But we are back up and running and i was wondering where we left off at and what is the proper way to shut this cluster down.

Thanks, I'll be on Live all day. Thanks

Frank

Ok mailbox moves have been successful however i can't use the webmail for mailboxes not on the CCR. I thought it would be able to do that am i missing something? Also my 2003 webmail can't view mailboxes on CCR.  Outlook works just fine. Am I suppose to see the public folders in Webmail?

Oh and the change we made for the anon internal mail allowed my CMD Mail to test to work. I'll be on Live most of the day so if you see me on please hit me up or reply here.

Thanks in Advanced

Hiya mate, I should be back on messenger a little later, when you enter in the URL for people that are on the old server are you using /owa or /exchange as the post fix?

Cheers

If i use my 2k3webmail i use 2k3webmail/exchnage and can only see 2k3 mailboxes

Hiya all, looking at Franks installation from the CAS perspective I found that the CAS and the original 2003 Server were both using the same SSL certificate - however only the original 2003 had the correct DNS name.

We changed the DNS record to point to the CAS, exported the certificate from the 2003 server (ensuring that we had a public key) then disabled SSL on the old server (e.g. removed the certificate from IIS, and ensured that all of the Directories for OWA on the 2003 box did not require SSL).

We then moved over to his CAS - we Imported the SSL cert into IIS on the CAS (which required us to enter in the private key).

I then opened up a EMC and typed in:

get-ExchangeCertificate

This listed the installed certs and their thumbprints

I reviewed the ThumbPrint and then typed:

enabled-ExchangeCertificate -ThumbPrint <ThumbPrint> -Services "IIS"

I then ran and iisreset /noforce (just to be on the safe side) in Franks box - and everything sprang to life.

Cheers

A

Now this worked for the most part However i ran into another issues on my external clients that were trying to use webmail. They were getting issues with the Cert no having thew correct name and all other kinds of issues (this included my Activesync users). So i followed http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/mobility-client-access/securing-exchange-2007-client-access-server-3rd-party-san-certificate.html and this got me to get pass that message and all seems to work. Now the only thing that does not work is the Active Sync Clients with mailboxes still on the 03 store. If you move them to the 07 Store all is great. I have pointed this to the fact that you need a SAN cert or a certificate period.

I don't have a SAN Cert and there is no cert on the 03 server so i can't really say. Working out some folder public folder issues and some distribution groups issues. i will update here as i knock them out.

I also wanted to add that we added the replica to the PF and we are using the "Get-PublicFolderStatistics -server EX2K7CCR". Still now sure how that works but i will keep everyone informed.
