Hi Everybody.  I recently went through a hdwe migration and put exchange 2003 on a clustered server from a standalone. I've been having rpc over https issues ever since so I thought I'd try adding a front end server to the mix. I guess I can get rpc to work, but a big hassle. Just looking at some tips on how to add the front end server or if there's some doc on this.

You actually HAVE to have an FE if you want to run RPC over HTTPS against clustered mailboxes.
Install Windows and SP it. Install Exchange and fully pack it up. Tick to make it an FE. Configure all the necessary certificate, FBA and RPC over HTTPS (remember to tick that the box is an RPC/HTTPS FE) and then tick the BE as an RPC/HTTPS BE as well)
Reboot.

Now, considering you had a simple query and it should resort to a simple solution. (Wish we had everythin so simple in life  )

So, its time we go through articles to understand in-depth logic of FE-BE mechanism.
