fmor0033 -> Smart Host Setup in Multiple Exchange Server Org (5.Dec.2007 9:44:41 AM)

Problem:

I have two exchange 2003 mail servers.
I can send email from ExcSvr 2 to ExcSvr 1 inboxes.
I cannot send email from ExcSvr 1 to ExcSvr 2 inboxes.

I have SMTP setup on ExcSvr 1 with a smart host to a Mail Essentials (GFI) that is both my inbound and outbound relay server.  It checks for Spam, etc...

I know that the problem is caused by the smart host.  Is there a way that I can tell ExcSvr 1 to send organizational email to the ExcSvr 2 if the inbox does not reside within itself, instead of sending that email to the smart host???

figured it out...had to create another smtp connector (on ExcSvr 1) for the domain space only and set it without a smart host.

Hi,

Please check MX records in DNS server for Both Server.

And check nslookup command
