what is the best practice of removing the CAS role off a exchange 2007 server (Hub and Mailbox role server) and install the CAS on a standalone server.
Do i install the new CAS role first or uninstall CAS from the MB server and then reinstall it on a new box?

Since a CAS is required for a Mailbox server, I'd install a new CAS first before removing the old. I did this in the lab today and it appears fine.

installing the new CAS first wont screw up any syncronizing up?

Ditto what Neil said. Bring up the new CAS, remove that role on the other box. Clients should find the new CAS just fine.
